SINS: Manifest Destiny is an expansion which sets out to expand upon SINS’ Core Book in a number of ways. Taking place around twenty years after the general timeline of the Core Rulebook, this expansion focuses on the myriad factions and organisations that are beginning to establish themselves upon the Post-Fall East Coast of America.
As each Faction turns their sights to the horizon, their interests and machinations begin to clash, and the human evils of expansionism and the wrongs of Old America are beginning to resurface. As Eldritch powers expand their domains and long-forgotten horrors stir in the ashes of the Fall, it falls to the Nemissaries, and the new generations of the continent, to forge a better future. A new era is beginning, and despite the struggles of the Fall, the sins of the past must not be allowed to repeat themselves again.
At its heart, SINS is a narrative role-playing game, focused on telling the stories of Nemissaries – powerful individuals reborn into a mysterious post-apocalyptic world fraught with supernatural dangers and dominated by an undead hivemind known only as the Brood.
With an arsenal of terrifying powers at their disposal, Nemissaries must unite the shattered remnants of humanity against its destroyers, all the whilst contending with their own personal demons – that are often made physically manifest by their new-found abilities.
SINS is a game about choice, and the consequences which come from wielding great and terrible power. It’s also about horror and survival in an unforgiving world fraught with danger, where morality and necessity propose problems that require just as much forethought to overcome as eldritch horrors.
Sins runs on a highly-praised, unique D6 dice pool engine, that keeps games fast, fluid and narrative-driven. Innovative, simple mechanics tie character development with mechanical progression, and co-operative storytelling mechanics powered by character’s hopes and motivations ensure that compelling narrative arcs occur in every game, driven by the actions of the player characters.
SINS is fully illustrated with evocative artwork by the acclaimed artist Will Kirkby, whose previous work includes cover work for several major Dark Horse Comic titles, guest covers for Critical Role comics and his own self-published Wraith King artbook and Grenade, a graphic novel.
