The Sigillum Dei, or seal of God, referred to by John Dee as the Sigillum Dei Aemeth. Perfect for The Dee Sanction Take a Chance rule, which is literally the flip of a coin.
The front face (tails) features the seal itself in incredible detail. The symbol is a magical diagram composed of two circles, a pentagram, two heptagons, and one heptagram, and is labelled with the name of God and his angels. The Sigillum Dei was key in Dee’s rituals with Edward Kelley in pursuit of communion with angels.
The reverse displays an image of Dee himself, Queen Elizabeth’s personal advisor, astrologer and alchemist, encapsulated within a magic circle.
Designed for use with The Dee Sanction tabletop roleplaying game of Elizabethan supernatural investigation, the coin makes a perfect talking point all on its own.
The metal coin token is 60 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick. It has antique gold plating and weighs approximately 67g.
The design is by Paul Baldowski (heads) and Deoin Cleveland (tails). Manufactured by Campaign Coins.
Packaged in plastic re-sealable zipper storage bags. Stand not included.
